About Conscious Made
Conscious Made is an independent brand and design studio based in Manchester that redefines and reimagines brands with clarity and differentiation.
Helping businesses transform through effective brand strategy, distinct brand identity design and bring them to life across print and digital platforms. Fully immersing themselves to create meaningful brand experiences that foster a sense of belonging and improve people’s wellbeing.
Conscious Made provides immersive design and brand consultancy services with health and wellness at its core. Combining three dimensions of wellbeing design: insightful thinking, human-centred emotional design and multisensory experiences. They set themselves apart with focus on enriching wellbeing and a passion for sustainability, with extensive print and material knowledge.
Their name is derived from the compression of the phrase: ‘Where conscious thoughts, feelings and sensory experiences are made’ — a conceptual definition of the three brand dimensions of how they improve wellbeing through design. This science-informed design process brings heightened conscious awareness of, and responsibility towards people — designed to feed the mind, warm the heart and please the senses.
For brands looking to create experiences that have a positive impact on people’s lives, we’d love to work with you, get in touch.
About Founder
I’m Laura Jane Boast, the Founder of Conscious Made.
Back in 2014, I launched my business, formerly known as LJB Studio. After five years of growth, I encountered the difficulty of my brand no longer aligning with what my business had become. There was a significant gap between brand vision and brand position, no longer attracting the ideal client and failing to represent my personality, experience and caliber of work. More so, the acronym name only added to the brand confusion — all of which limited potential reach.
In order to realign my brand, it was essential to begin with a solid foundation in the form of a brand audit. This heightened state of consciousness enabled me to build an effective brand strategy and gain brand clarity – resulting in the new name, a distinct new visual identity and repositioning of services. Alignment and a sense of belonging was felt almost instantaneously.
Today, I’m on a mission to help individuals and businesses transform from confusion to clarity, achieve brand differentiation and foster a sense of belonging by redefining and reimagining their brand.

Our process is informed by
conscious made decisions that are
designed to feed the mind, warm the heart and please the senses.
1 – Feed The Mind
Brands have the power to change how people think and with that, we believe, comes the responsibility to have a positive influence on mental wellbeing. We do just that, by conscious design thinking and inspiring intellectual curiosity. Working with brands that teach, create new experiences, bring people together, improve physical health and give back to good causes – all of which stimulates a positive mindful state.
2 – Warm The Heart
Understanding how your customers feel before, during and after experiencing your product, service or brand is fundamental in building meaningful relationships with them. We implement human-centred emotional design practices that enables just that. In other words, we create content that appeals to people’s emotions, respects their feelings and promotes good emotional wellbeing.
3 – Please The Senses
Appealing to all senses is a powerful method for any brand that wants to make its interactions with customers more meaningful, memorable and compelling. That’s why we design multisensory brand experiences that activates all stimuli: sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. The more senses we engage, the deeper the emotional connection we feel, the more likely customers are to remember your brand.
“Research shows that emotions give purpose, priority, and focus to our thinking. They tell us what to do with the knowledge that our senses deliver. They motivate us to act.”
